South Side Jazz began as a husband and wife duo (Jeremy and Lisa Taylor) with a taste for classic cocktails and swing dancing. They jitterbugged and Susie Q'd their way through the years hoping to one day find some cool cats to join them. And they did! Now with the addition of sax (Craig Jaunzemis), bass (Dan Gonzalez), and drums (TBurd Burris), the 5 piece band plays standards from the golden age of jazz that make you want to spend a Sunday afternoon with a South Side martini or cut up a rug at a speakeasy.

T-Burd's interest in music began at home early in life with his brother teaching him to play the drums in the 60s. By the age of 11, he was sneaking T-Burd into Mississippi Juke Joints to play. It was there that T-Burd built a reputation and was able to join the high school band while still in the 5th grade.
After leaving the Dirty South, T-Burd made his way to California via the U.S. Army. Once in California, he took every opportunity to try out his sticks and voice to a hugely diverse range of music. After many years of playing many types of music, his greatest pleasure in life remains playing music with, and for, those who realize the power of song.

Jeremy has been playing guitar since he was 15 years old. As a young boy, he loved Heavy Metal music and was passionate about learning to play metal. His parents, taken over by the Satanic Panic of the 80s, were worried about the Metal scene and forbid him to play the music. Because of this, he had to save up money to buy his first guitar himself and hide it from his parents. Since then, Jeremy has played in many bands, recorded several albums, and even had a few songs on local radio.
Later in life Jeremy fell in love with Jazz Music and studied under Bub Pratt at Kukuau Studios in Hilo, HI. He is very excited to be able to play in such a great band with his wife and a great group of superb musicians.
